Energetic Characterization of Faujasite Zeolites Using a Sensor Gas Calorimeter
نویسندگان
چکیده
In addition to the adsorption mechanism, heat released during exothermic influences chemical reactions that follow heterogeneous catalysis. Both steps depend on structure and surface chemistry of catalyst. An example a typical catalyst is faujasite zeolite. For zeolites, influence Si/Al ratio number Na+ Ca2+ cations was therefore investigated in systematic study. A comparison between NaX (Sodium type X faujasite) NaY Y zeolite reveals higher smaller zeolites leads lower loadings heats. The exchange for also has an process. Loadings heats first decrease slightly at low degree increase significantly with calcium contents. If stronger interactions are required catalysis, then CaNaX must have above 53%. energetic contributions show highest-quality sites III III’ make contribution load-dependent adsorption, which about 1.4 times (site III) 1.8 III’) larger than site II.

New Force Field for Na Cations in Faujasite-Type Zeolites
We have developed and validated a new force field for cations in zeolites, which explicitly distinguishes Si and Al atoms, as well as different types of oxygens in the framework. Our new force field gives excellent agreement with experimental data on cation positions, site occupancies and vibrational frequencies. Energy minimizations show that Na cations in site I are not at the centers of hexa...

Kinetic, spectroscopic, and chemical titration data indicate that differences in monomolecular isobutane cracking and dehydrogenation and methanol dehydration turnover rates (per H) among FAU zeolites treated thermally with steam (H-USY) and then chemically with ammonium hexafluorosilicate (CDHUSY) predominantly reflect differences in the size and solvating properties of their supercage voids r...
متن کاملMolecular Dynamics Studies of Hydrofluorocarbons in Faujasite-type Zeolites: Modeling Guest-Induced Cation Migration in Dry Zeolites
We have developed and applied a new force field for simultaneously modeling the dynamics of hydrofluorocarbons (HFCs) and exchangeable Na cations in faujasite-type zeolites. Our aim is to account for (i) the zeolite’s capacity of separating HFC isomers, (ii) the experimentally observed unusual cation migration in Na-Y from the â-cages into the supercages upon the adsorption of HFCs, and (iii) t...
